Äussere Hochschulpolitik
Auf kantonaler Ebene pflege ich den Kontakt mit der Bildungs- und Kulturdirektion, dem Regierungsrat und dem Grossen Rat des Kantons Bern. Dafür verfasse ich Stellungnahmen zu Geschehnissen auf kantonaler Ebene und lobbyiere für die Anliegen der Studierenden. Dazu gehört auch das Monitoring der bildungspolitischen Geschäfte des Grossen Rates, also die Beobachtung und Analyse der bildungs- und finanzpolitischen Vorgänge innerhalb des Kantons Bern. 

Auf nationaler Ebene beschäftige ich mich mit hochschulpolitischen Entwicklungen und vertrete die Interessen der Studierenden. Ich bin dafür verantwortlich, den Kontakt zu entsprechenden Institutionen, Organisationen und Personen auf nationaler Ebene zu pflegen und auszubauen. Insbesondere engagiere ich mich im nationalen Dachverband - dem Verband der Schweizer Studierendenschaften (VSS) – und koordiniere die SUB-Aktivitäten im VSS. So befinde ich mich auch im Co-Präsidium der Hochschulpolitischen Kommission des VSS. 

Ressort Wohnen 
Das Ressort Wohnen ist ein auf das Jahr 2024 neu geschaffenes Ressort des SUB-Vorstands. Wohnraum ist eine der grössten finanziellen Belastungen für Studierende. Gerade Menschen mit tiefen Einkommen, zu denen wir Studierende in den meisten Fällen gehören, bekommen die Krise auf dem Wohnungsmarkt am meisten zu spüren. Im Ressort Wohnen kümmere ich mich alles, was das Thema studentisches Wohnen betrifft. 

So verfolgt die SUB zum Beispiel zusammen mit der Baugenossenschaft Aare das Projekt SWIM. Ziel ist es im neu entstehenden Stadtquartier Vierer- und Mittelfeld studentischen und bezahlbaren Wohnraum zu errichten.  

Im Ressort Wohnen bringe ich mich auch in der Quartierkommission Länggasse Engehalbinsel ein, um die Quartierentwicklung des Universitätsquartiers aktiv mitzugestalten.  

Ressort Finanzen 
Im Ressort Finanzen habe ich die Aufgabe, den Überblick über die Finanzen der SUB zu halten. Ich bin im Vorstand die Ansprechperson bei finanziellen Fragen. So habe ich auch die Verantwortung für die erfolgreiche Erstellung eines Budgets sowie eines Jahresabschlusses zu sorgen.

Departments of faculty student associations, faculties and student groups:
As an active student of a faculty student association, you have the opportunity to shape your study programme and your everyday study life. The work in the SUB groups offers a wide range of opportunities to become active, to get involved politically or to realise projects in the cultural field. Department of legal affairs:

As the head of the department of legal affairs, I am responsible for all legal matters of the SUB and the legal contact person for you and the SUB‘s governing bodies. Additionally, I oversee the legal advisory service of the SUB. If you have any legal questions, feel free to reach out to me.

It is important to me that people, regardless of their social situation and background, have the opportunity to study at the University of Bern. This is why I advocate for fair scholarships, the compatibility of work and study, affordable housing for students, and as low-threshold access to higher education as possible for everyone.

Are you facing financial hardship or do you have concerns regarding the social situation of students? I am happy to offer advice and work with you to find a solution.

As part of this department, I am also responsible for the "Offener Hörsaal" project, which ensures access to higher education for individuals with refugee experience. This project also includes a mentoring program in which University of Bern students or other interested individuals with some knowledge of the university context accompany refugees for a semester, helping them navigate university life.

Additionally, I also organize a networking program for participants in the "Kompass UniBE" project. This is a university preparation year for people with refugee experience, run by the University of Bern itself. The networking program we organize aims to connect participants of the Kompass project with (former) students at the University of Bern, facilitating both linguistic and social exchange.

Department of Services
The department of services is responsible for all services of SUB such as the student job platform, the platform for housing for students and for the tutoring platform. It is also responsible for all questions concerning the SUB house.

Department of equality

The SUB is committed to equality for all students. We strive to ensure that all people can study free from sexism, racism, rejectionism, classism, homophobia, transphobia and age discrimination. An academic career is less lucrative for women than for men. Still, plans for the advancement of women are only half-heartedly implemented and the figures show that women increasingly turn their backs on the university every time they pass a step. The integration of gender studies in the university's curricula has not been working and too little attention is paid to the multiple burdens of students who are parents. That is why we work with various university bodies and committees, such as the Gender Equality Commission and the Office for Gender Equality. We are also active in the CodEg, the commission for equality of the Swiss Student Union (Verband der Schweizerischen Studierendenschaften VSS), and a member of the Association of Feminist Sciences (Verein Feministischer Wissenschaften FemWiss). In addition, our department of equality offers mentoring for female students (womentoring). Womentoring is co-financed by the federal programme to support equal opportunities for men and women at the universities. Our department also organises various events on gender equality topics, oftentimes in cooperation with SUB Culture. 

Department of sustainability

The department of sustainability was newly created in March 2019 in order to establish sustainability as a permanent working area of the SUB. The focus lays on sustainability at the University of Bern (e.g. cafeteria menu and assortment, business trips, sustainability in teaching and research etc.) and at the SUB. The aim now is to further elaborate and refine our positions, quickly push forward changes at the university, and to promote student initiatives. Ressort Innere Hochschulpolitik
Universitäre Hochschulpolitik
Das Ressort hat die Aufgabe, hochschulpolitischen Entwicklungen auf universitärer Ebene zu beobachten, zu analysieren und bei Bedarf im Interesse der Studierenden einzugreifen. Dabei geht es vor allem darum, die Positionen der SUB in die aktuelle hochschulpolitische Debatte einzubringen und dazu Stellung zu beziehen. Wichtig ist dabei, dass nicht nur zugewartet und reagiert wird, sondern, dass dort wo nötig agiert und proaktiv gearbeitet wird. In diversen universitären Gremien bin ich verantwortlich, dass die Stimme der Studierenden gehört, bei Entscheidungen eingebunden und optimalerweise priorisiert wird. Zentral ist dabei der Kontakt zur Universitätsleitung, dem Generalsekretariat, der Verwaltungsdirektion und dem Vizerektorat Lehre.

Internationale Hochschulpolitik
Auf internationaler Ebene beschäftige ich mich damit, dass die Stimme der Studierenden auch über die Landesgrenzen gehört wird. Durch den Beitritt der Universität Bern in die europäische Allianz “ENLIGHT” setze ich mich hauptsächlich auf der Ebene der Allianz für die die Studierenden ein. Im ENLIGHT Student Network bin ich dafür verantwortlich, dass die Studierenden der Universität Bern auch auf internationaler Ebene bestmögliche Bedingungen für ein internationales Studium vorfinden.

Zentral ist zudem, die Universität Bern in sämtlichen Gremien zukunftsorientiert mitzugestalten und sicherzustellen, dass die Studierenden bei möglichst allen Entscheidungen und Prozessen eingebunden werden.

Ressort Kommunikation
Im Ressort Kommunikation bin ich mit dem Auftritt und der Sichtbarkeit der SUB beschäftigt.

Mit zwei angestellten Personen zusammen kümmere ich mich um die grundsätzliche visuelle Kommunikation der SUB. So zum Beispiel auf unseren Kanälen auf Social Media, in der Campusmail oder auf Plakaten.

Zudem habe ich die Redaktionsleitung der SUB-Seiten in der bärner studizytig inne. Du hast eine Artikelidee zu einem hochschulpolitischen Thema? Melde dich bei mir!

Zusätzlich trage ich im Ressort Kommunikation die Hauptverantwortung über den medialen Auftritt der SUB.

In meinem Ressort geht es darum studierende Personen zusammenzubringen. Daher betreue ich die kulturellen Anlässe rund um die SUB. Davon stellt das Campusfestival den grössten Event dar.Gemeinsam mit der Kulturkommission SUB KULTUR kümmere ich mich um die Organisation diverser Veranstaltungen.
