Proof of voluntary student commitment

If you would like proof of your own voluntary student commitment, you have various options. Depending on what the proof is needed for, a social time certificate (personal work certificate), an entry in the Diploma Supplement or a performance record (simple confirmation) can be applied for at the SUB.

Social time certificate for SUB volunteers

The Social Time Certificate (SZA) is a personal work certificate for voluntary and honorary work. The SZA serves to prove and assess voluntary and honorary work. Acquired competences in the performance of voluntary, unpaid work should be made visible. Voluntary and honorary work should be evaluated and recognized in this way. The SZA can be attached to a job application, for example. It contains information about the person, institution, duration and type of activity, an assessment, and thanks for the commitment, always in the name of the SUB as well as the student council, group, commission, or project management.

Conditions

Students who have been active in one of the following areas for at least 6 months can apply for an SZA:

Procedure

You want to apply for an SZA? Then these are the steps so that it can soon hang on your wall in its well-deserved golden frame:

  1. Select the template document below that suits you and adapt the red passages to you and your commitment.
  2. Send the adapted document as a Word file to the reference person (e.g. Student Council President).
  3. The responsible reference person checks and confirms the content of the document, signs it digitally and forwards the document as a Word file to the "Fachschaftssekretariat". Please provide us with a personal e-mail address for returning the certificate.
  4. The "Fachschaftssekretariat" checks the document again for language, date and content. Linguistic errors will be corrected directly. If there are major errors or ambiguities, we will send the document back to the responsible reference person. If everything is correct, a member of the SUB board will sign the certificate.
  5. We will then send your SZA back to you by e-mail.

Please make sure that your SZA arrives at least one week before you need it. If you have any questions, please contact us at any time:

Diploma Supplement

In addition to the Bachelor's or Master's degree, all students receive the Diploma Supplement. This contains detailed information on the degree and additional achievements. Volunteer student work can also be entered under these additional credits.

Conditions

The same conditions apply to the Diploma Supplement as to the Social Time Certificate.

Procedure

You would like your voluntary student work to be listed in your Diploma Supplement, in addition to receiving a personal Social Time Certificate? Then please follow the steps below:

  1. Select the one that applies to you from the template documents listed below and adapt the passages coloured red to you and your commitment. Important: The document should not be longer than one A4 page.
  2. Send the adapted document as a Word file to the reference person (e.g. Student Council President).
  3. The responsible reference person checks and confirms the content of the document, signs it digitally and forwards the document as a Word file to the "Fachschaftssekretariat".
  4. The "Fachschaftssekretariat" checks the document again for language, date and content. Linguistic errors are corrected directly. If there are major errors or ambiguities, we will send the document back to the responsible reference person. If everything is correct, a member of the SUB board will sign the certificate.
  5. We will then forward your certificate to the relevant office at the university, where it will be signed by the vice rector and the entry made in your Diploma Supplement.
  6. Your certificate will then be sent to you by e-mail.

If you are going to graduate soon and need the certificate for an application or similar, please contact the "Fachschaftssekretariat" by e-mail or phone so that we know that it is urgent. Please note, however, that it can take a good 4-5 weeks (from the time we receive the document) until the entry in the Diploma Supplement is made by the university. So be sure to contact us early enough.

In addition, we advise you to wait with your application for your degree until the entry of your commitment has been made in KSL. This is the only way we can guarantee that your commitment can be included in your Diploma Supplement on time.

For further information, please contact the "Fachschaftssekretariat" at any time:

Certificate of achievement "Leistungsnachweis"

The certificate of achievement ("Leistungsnachweis") is a confirmation of voluntary student work - thus not a certificate of work like the social time card. The certificate of achievement is required in particular for the extension of study time. If required, it can be requested from the SUB.

Conditions

The conditions are the same as for the social time certificate.

Procedure

The procedure is basically the same as for a Social Time Certificate:

  1. Select the template document below and adapt the red passages to suit you and your commitment.
If everything is correct, a member of the SUB board will sign the document.
  5. We will then send you back your "Leistungsnachweis" by e-mail.
