«Housing for resettled Ukrainian students»

Many Ukrainian students have to flee because of the war - either abroad or within the country. As a result, student dormitories are overcrowded and housing prices have risen massively. Show your solidarity and donate here for housing for resettled Ukrainian students.

Housing for resettled Ukrainian students

For more than a month, we have been feeling for the Ukrainian people and trying to show our solidarity. The war has also had a massive impact on Ukrainian students. Many have to flee - either abroad or within the country. For those who come to Switzerland, many higher education institutions have already taken measures and students have also been campaigning for a long time with Perspective - Studies for student refugees.

However, many also remain in Ukraine or in the surrounding area. Due to these refugee movements, most student residences are overcrowded, and housing prices have risen massively. In order to help the often financially weak students in this emergency situation, the Swiss Student Union (VSS-UNES-USU), together with the Ukrainian Association of Students (UAS), has launched the crowdfunding campaign "Housing for resettled Ukrainian students".

VSS-UNES.USU collects donations in Switzerland in our strong currency and then distributes the amounts via the UAS to the local Ukrainian student bodies. These rent flats and thus enable the refugee students to have a roof over their heads and, in the best case, to continue their studies.

With this campaign, we as members of the higher education community want to contribute to the relief actions, but we are dependent on your support, however small. Show your solidarity and donate here for housing for resettled Ukrainian students. More information can be found on the VSS-UNES-USU website and ongoing updates on the campaign can be found on Instagram
